Our Impact

“This is a life changing experience for me. Words cannot express the positive impact of  She-EO in my life.” – S.A., USA

I attended the London She-EO where I met and developed a relationship with a sister who I am  very close to up till today.” – Bukola, U.K

“I am so happy I did not miss the event because I gained a lot and truly enjoyed every minute of it. I recommend She-EO to anyone looking to connect with an amazing and supportive sisterly community”  – Funmi, USA

“First, I  enjoyed the quiz a lot. There's a lot to learn from women who were trailblazers from all walks of life. Second, I enjoyed all the speakers and the topics that were touched upon. Third, after the event ended, I had to pick up Sr. TFAJ's book, 'Soulful Whispers' and look for more words of motivation so that my mission and vision of my own legacy” - Maryam, USA

“The She-EO community is a great way to connect/network with other women and Tope really knows how to get us engaged with the games, breakout sessions and music.  Surprisingly, I felt comfortable enough to share something I have never shared in public before with women I barely knew after listening to some of their own stories”  - Anonymous

“Joining the online version of She-EO has been very impactful and has improved my perspective about life and living purposefully. The experiences shared by numerous speakers from 2020, particularly at the peak period of the COVID-19 pandemic to 2021, gave me so much energy and push towards my career development, diversified my job tentacles and further improved my livelihood conditions. My perspectives about purposeful living, humanitarian gesture and spirituality are far better off than when I joined the She-EO community. Thank you, Tope, for the vision, for the strength exerted to push the vision forward, and for the linkages and outcomes. It has also revealed to me that  I am not alone in my struggles and that is  more energy for me.  - Vide, Nigeria

“I attended the virtual events during the pandemic, but I can’t decide which was my most memorable moment. I was inspired by the story of the lady who was married off at an early age to a man who already had children. She is now a lawyer and an advocate for women. Equally inspiring was the story of the lady who was trapped in the Middle east for a while, and it took the intervention of Abike Dabiri and other agencies to gain her freedom. Those 2 stories were quite powerful. Being able to overcome such trauma is mind blowing. The likes of Ojinika and the lady who sett up the book club were particularly inspiring for those of us in the Diaspora.” – Ayodele, U.K.

Now I know why the people who have been will not want to miss any She-EO again... It has its special kind of energy that takes you to depths with your senses and challenges your self ideas and identities, ma sha Allah, tabarakah.- Summayyah S., Australia/Nigeria

She-EO came at a time I really needed it. I just quit my job in search of fulfillment and She-EO has helped me figured out what I want to do by putting me on the right track.  I related so well with the family/parenting/marriage segment, being a first-time mum and being new in marriage, it really helped opened my eyes to a whole new perspective. Overall, I enjoyed that I could learn from real life experiences and I was really inspired. I mean IN-SPA-YED! It was just the right and perfect time, age, moment phase of my life to do it.”  – Rodiat A. The Village Lounge, Ibadan Nigeria.

“It was truly a wonderful event. Thank you for the invitation. Mayor Pugh was delighted. We left behind the Mayor's Salute framed citation as well.”

-        Geri. Director of Logistics, Office of the Mayor of Baltimore

“The masks were off as this diverse group of powerful and accomplished women shared their struggles and triumphs in wealth building, entrepreneurship, finding purpose, health, love and marriage. The lessons learned from the transparency and vulnerability of panelists was life giving. -       Iman Marshal Sulayman (Youth Volunteer, She-EO 6.0)

“I enjoyed myself and was super happy to see new and old faces, Bringing women together is a powerful thing! I will be sharing some notes I took with my husband. Br. Marshal’s presence was a hit and the advice he gave must reach the men in our lives, both young and old and in between, its’ never too late” -       Maryam Funmilayo

“You have absolutely got to open the conversation up to men as well.” - Linda I.

“She-EO is getting stronger. I am glad to see that you featured a great achiever like Mr. Marshal in She-EO 6.0. I wish it were She-He-O. - Yinka Lawal

“Thank you for inviting me to speak on a topic that I have recorded many a YouTube video about, in front of an esteemed group of women including my mom, I had a chance to discuss the rift between black Americans and black Africans. It was lovely to meet the first Nigerian-American elected official. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of such a magical event! Can’t wait to see what the next year brings.” -       Dr. Janice Gassam (She-EO 6.0 Speaker)

“I love how Dr. Janice approached the topic of Africans vs African-Americans considering the fact that I have had to speak about such among friends and colleagues. Truth is Africans and African-Americans are all one and the same. If we understand that and empathize with one another we might just become the formidable force we all believe we are as individuals. Thanks again sis for this platform.” -       Mariam Jimoh

“I wanted to cry buckets during the ‘Becoming’ segment because of the raw emotions I felt from the stories I heard. It was so relatable – kudos to whoever put the questions together and the panelists for doing them justice. I felt like they were talking to me specifically. Dr Janice was awesome, and we even continued another round of intense discussions after the event. Council Woman Suara took the room by storm. Wow! I don’t know what I was expecting but that woman raised my confidence level by 2 notches. She was authentic and unapologetic about who she was. The “Still I Rise” session was all about my situation. I froze in my seat. Talk about somebody who has gone through trials but is rising strong. I need some of her fabulousness, there is some sort of inner strength that you cannot buy from the store. Dr Sabrina N’Diaye was just as Tfaj described – some ethereal creature whose soothing tones were enough to lure my mind away from its current struggles. I give ‘Table Talk’ an A.”
